A nice afternoon ride through Tilden and Wildcat parks.

2005 Tomatoes

I decided to grow tomatoes in a half-barrel this summer.

My parents and I were in San Francisco to see an exhibit of Robert Cameron's aerial photography. Afterwards we drove around sightseeing for a while and I took three nice pictures.

15apr2005 Headlands

Nice long ride over the Golden Gate Bridge and up into the Marin Headlands.

10apr2005 Chabot

Visited the Chabot Observatory with my dad and a niece & nephew.

09apr2005 Wildcat Wildflowers

I biked the whole length of Wildcat Ridge, from the steam train ride in Tilden Park to the Belgum sanitarium in Richmond. Along the way I saw lots of different kinds of wildflowers.

06apr2005 Paris

Day fourteen, my last day in Paris. There was a little bit of blue sky in the morning, then it rained on and off for the rest of the day.

Day thirteen (I was tired yesterday). Cloudy in the morning, at the Parc Floral. Sunny in the afternoon on Ile de la Cité and Ile St. Louis.

Day eleven. The perfect weather continues. My brother-in-law and I biked from Paris to Versailles and back.

Day ten. We took the train to Chartres for the day.

Day nine. Sunny! But I spent the morning just enjoying the sun on my sister's balcony, so not so many pictures today.

Day eight. I took pictures at the Gare de l'Est and the Gare du Nord, and also around Sacré Coeur.

Day seven. I was wandering all over the city doing some geocaching.

Day six. Spent a couple of hours at the Musée d'Orsay.

Day five. A bike ride to the south along the Coulée Verte. It was raining on and off.

Day four. A morning at the farmers' market, and an afternoon just wandering around the city center.

Day three. Barge trip through the Canal St. Martin.

Day two. A trip to the Albert Kahn gardens, and to Parc André Citröen. Then after dinner I went out again with my nephew and we walked up the Eiffel Tower. 669 steps!

24mar2005 Paris

Another visit to Paris begins! I went to a school play my nephew's class was putting on. Then on the walk home I got some nice shots of the Eiffel Tower all lit up.

14mar2005 Franklin Canyon

Long bike ride from Pleasant Hill BART north to Martinez, then west through Franklin Canyon to Crockett and east on Carquinez Scenic Drive back to Martinez again. Took the Capitol home to Berkeley.
